How We’re Pushing the Boundaries of Testing With Applause Labs

Today, we announced the launch of Applause Labs. This new program will enable us to explore next-generation testing ideas through a rapid proof-of-concept format. With Applause Labs, which encompasses both our R&D initiatives as well as an expanded focus on developing new testing concepts, we will investigate and deliver some entirely new product offerings.

Applause invented the crowdtesting industry over a decade ago. We are the leader in the category because we put client needs and a constant sense of innovation at the forefront of everything we do. The digital vanguard – next-generation companies like Google and eBay – all turn to us for their testing because we deliver value in ways no other company can.

Applause Labs continues this history of innovation. It will increase the impact we have on our clients’ software, products and customer experiences. Since our inception, we have prioritized innovation across our solutions portfolio, enabled by our scalable SaaS Platform. The latest example of the next-generation concepts coming out of Applause Labs is the Applause Quality Score (AQS).

The Applause Quality Score is yet another way we are focusing on the wants and needs of our customers. It is a calculated value – ranging from 0 to 100 – akin to a Net Promoter Score (NPS). The AQS will serve as a comparable metric, providing clients with insights into their overall quality build-over-build, as well as quality trends over time. While the right time to release a build is largely a gut call today, the purpose of the AQS is to help make these decisions data driven and defensible. By providing a tangible number based on testing results, the AQS will make those critical release/don’t release decisions much quicker and easier, and it can all be found in a simple and clean interface.

We are uniquely positioned to deliver the AQS to enterprise companies because we created the crowdtesting category over a decade ago and have the historical data necessary to know what the standard for great digital quality looks like. Over time, we will continue to evolve the AQS through Applause Labs.

Applause Labs will constantly be testing new concepts, which we will highlight on our blog…so stay tuned!
