From increasing your customer base to risk mitigation, the reasons to be digitally accessible are numerous. Proactive companies integrate accessibility into their development lifecycle. Doing so, helps ensure equity across all digital properties while avoiding legal headaches. And while accessibility scanners can be a positive starting point, becoming confidently compliant requires a much more thorough approach. That's where Applause can help.

Rapid, Relevant & Actionable Results
Understand problems, prioritize issues, and create a long-term plan.
In general, digital accessibility is neither a core competency nor priority for product and development teams, and getting up to speed quickly can be quite the challenge. Applause gives you access to accessibility experts who are familiar with accessibility guidelines and regulations, including WCAG 2.1. Our detailed assessments, based on years of experience, cover each WCAG requirement and detail where your pages pass or fail and how to tackle any findings.
During assessments, testers use the website or mobile app exactly how an end-user would. This means potentially using a screen reader and navigating through the site without the use of a mouse. When a failure is discovered, the tester will indicate the type of failure (e.g. WCAG 1.3.2), list reproduction steps, identify affected code, and provide a narrated screen recording so you can better understand the issue. Then, after you’ve fixed failures, we’ll retest to ensure you are then compliant.
When testing is complete, all results are compiled within an executive report that provides information on failures, remediation steps, and highlighted accessibility gaps. In addition, our training and developer support teaches your team accessible design best practices to help minimize the chance of any future red flags.
