How Realtor.com Provides A Customized Experience For Every House Hunter

“We definitely take advantage of the geographical distribution that Applause give us.”

Everybody knows that looking for a new home can be both stressful and time-consuming.

Whether a person is looking to rent or buy, individual search parameters will be very geocentric and likely under time constraints. More often than not, that person will need assistance to help them find the right home and alleviate the stress of moving.

With numerous realty websites available to house hunters, realtors have to make sure that their digital experience is seamless, irrespective of what device or platform is used.

Realtor.com is a leading resource for home buyers and renters. The online realtor offers their customers a full range of information, tools and expertise, all of which is geared towards making a house hunt go smoothly. Realtor.com partnered with Applause to ensure that its website, responsive mobile site, and iOS, Android and Windows apps provide customers with a customized experience based on location and across any device by testing with real people in real-world scenarios.

In an interview with Applause in 2016, Realtor.com’s former director of consumer QA Dave Arguelles said the company has ensured a customized experience for all customers using any devices by leveraging Applause’s community of testers, which provides the QA department with a multitude of locations and a plethora of devices.

In the video below, he explains not only how Realtor.com relies on Applause to find the more obscure devices, but also how the relationship has grown to such an extent that the company asked Applause to test its own backend products.
