David Carty

Senior Content Manager

David is a senior content manager for Applause. In coordination with Applause’s product, solutions consultants and community teams, David creates and edits engaging content, including blog posts, case studies, whitepapers and webinars.

David joined Applause in November of 2020. He previously worked as a site editor at TechTarget in Auburndale, Mass., where he created and managed editorial content for SearchSoftwareQuality.com. He co-hosted the site’s award-winning Test & Release podcast. In recognition of his efforts, David was named TechTarget’s Editor of the Year in 2020.

Prior to becoming a technology writer and editor, David began his writing career as a sports journalist. David won awards from the New England Newspaper & Press Association for his sports writing and design as a sports reporter at the Sun Chronicle in Attleboro, Mass and sports editor of the Foxboro Reporter in Foxboro, Mass. He previously worked as a sports content producer for KWTV, the CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City.

David has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Emerson College. He is an avid reader, writer and film buff – not to mention a husband and father of two. He resides in Weymouth, Mass.
