Alexander Waldmann brings more than 22 years of experience in software engineering, product management and business development to his role of Vice President with Applause. With specialized testing expertise in AI, automation, digital payments and security, Alex takes a hands-on approach to ensure successful testing engagements and solution deployments for Fortune 500 clients in EMEA.
In addition to supporting customer implementations, Alex is a dedicated leader with oversight of Applause’s EMEA sales team. Under his leadership, the team has secured and sustained business across automotive, entertainment, telecom and a variety of other sectors, helping the company achieve upwards of $200 million in annual recurring revenue.
Alex’s responsibilities also include optimizing internal strategies and processes to ensure efficiency, maximize resources and drive business success. He most recently leveraged AI to automate the sales enablement process for more than 400 employees and thousands of contractors, significantly speeding communications and productivity. He also streamlined onboarding and customer operations across the globe.
Before his promotion to VP, Alex held positions in Solutions Consulting, Product Management and Software Engineering. In each role, he brought his signature passion for innovation and strong work ethic. Accomplishments include the development of Applause’s innovative crowdtesting platform, which enables test case management, real-time collaboration and reporting, and data and systems integration for clients, among other achievements that helped the company become a market leader.
