Advancing Digital Quality: Applause Integrates Advanced AI Capabilities with IBM watsonx.ai

Applause is committed to delivering transformative high-quality testing and feedback solutions, enabling brands to meet ever-growing customer expectations. Supporting this mission, we’re excited to announce that we are collaborating with IBM to integrate advanced AI capabilities and IBM Granite models from IBM watsonx.ai into our platform.

Our collaboration with IBM brings watsonx.ai’s flexible enterprise-grade foundation models into Applause’s testing platform, boosting our ability to help brands identify and address quality issues with speed and accuracy.

Elevating Testing Capabilities with IBM watsonx.ai

Applause has been at the forefront of infusing generative AI into software testing, harnessing its potential to help brands quickly detect and solve digital experience issues and accelerate the launch of functional, intuitive and inclusive digital experiences. We believe IBM watsonx.ai’s high scalability and adaptability make it a perfect fit for enhancing our platform’s capabilities, offering customers faster test development and deeper insights.

Test case management is foundational to effective software testing, allowing teams to organize, execute, and track test cases across complex testing environments. With IBM watsonx.ai, we’re able to enhance test case creation, prioritization, and optimization for our customers.

For example, with the new AI feature, customers can request assistance in rewriting test cases. Writing use cases can be tedious, and many customers may use internally-understood terms or shortcuts, which can hinder onboarding and collaboration with our community testers. When activated, the platform can analyze test cases against best practices from our testing community, correcting typos, grammar, and unclear language. Users can then review and accept or modify each suggestion for elements like steps and expected results.

With this collaboration, Applause can more quickly support our clients’ changing user requirements, new feature rollouts, and market demands. This is designed to make test case management faster and more intelligent, leading to product releases that are efficient and reliable.

Pioneering the Future of AI-Driven Testing

We believe that our work with IBM reinforces Applause’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of testing excellence for customers and equipping them to thrive in a competitive digital world. Additionally, we intend to integrate watsonx for some of our internal functions, such as streamlining HR requests and sales enablement.

Collaborating with IBM allows Applause to build on our AI initiatives with a robust foundation of corporate governance, advanced training, and transparency – essential elements for trustworthy and effective AI-driven solutions,” said Applause CTO Rob Mason. “By integrating IBM watsonx.ai, we’re not only enhancing our testing capabilities but aim to set new standards for AI accountability and innovation in the testing space.”

We are excited to continue pioneering in AI-powered testing and look forward to helping brands worldwide build and launch the most advanced digital products that captivate and retain their users.

Stay tuned for more developments as Applause and IBM continue to redefine what’s possible in AI-driven software testing.
