Matt Heusser is an Applause contributing writer. Matt is the Managing Director at Excelon Development, where he helps companies improve their software delivery capacity. Matt has 25 years of experience in software delivery. Matt co-organized the first Workshop on Technical Debt, the Workshop On Self-Education in Software Testing (WhOSE), Test Coach Camp, five test retreats, the Workshop on teaching Test Design (WhatDa) and served twice on the board of directors for the Association for Software Testing (AST).

Matt is probably best known for his lean software delivery series of methods and his writing. Matt was the Lead Editor for How to Reduce the Cost of Software Testing (Taylor & Francis 2011), and he has produced over two hundred podcasts with his show producer, Michael Larsen.

Matt was the 2014 recipient of the Most Influential Agile Test Professional Person (MAITPP) award, and 2015 Most Popular Online Contributor to Agile at the Agile Awards. Matt has earned credentials as a journalist via the Association of Journalists and Authors.
